The Private Security Authority (PSA) is the regulatory body for the private security industry in Ireland.
The industry employs over 30,000 people across a broad range of sectors and has an estimated annual turnover in excess of €960 million.
The role of the PSA is to improve and maintain standards in the provision of security services in the State by operating a standards-based licensing system.
It was established under the Private Security Services Act 2004.
