Appointments to the Board of the Charities Regulatory Authority

 

The Minister for Rural and Community Development invites expressions of interest from candidates who possess the skills and experience necessary in one or more of the following areas:

Legal

Candidates applying under this category must hold or have formerly held judicial office in the Superior Courts, or are a barrister or solicitor of not less than 10 years standing.

Candidates must also demonstrate knowledge of, and significant senior executive/board level expertise in the law relating to charities.

Finance

Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of and significant senior management expertise in forensic accounting, and ideally the keeping of accounts by, and the funding of, charitable organisations.

It would be desirable that candidates have a professional qualification/membership of a professional body.

Inspectorate Skills

Candidates must have significant demonstrable senior management experience in carrying out or overseeing investigations/inspections of organisations.

It would be desirable that candidates have demonstrable experience and understanding of charitable organisations.
